Nevada reports $1.4bn record gaming revenue for July – with F1 Grand Prix coming soon

Nevada has posted its gaming revenue for July 2023， showing that it made a state record $1.4bn – a rise of 7% annually.

The increase in overall revenue in Nevada is reflected almost unanimously in the regions that comprise the Silver State， with the famous Las Vegas Strip seeing an 8% increase year-on-year， representing a total sum of $834.9m

The Strip is the biggest contributor to Clark County’s overall revenue， with the wider County recording $1.21bn for July 2023 – an 8% rise annually. Clark County is significantly the largest county for gambling in Nevada， with the largest percentage rises seen in Laughlin – which amassed $46.9m in revenue， a 9% growth year-on-year.

Additionally， Boulder Strip also recorded a 9% rise in July revenue， totalling $79.4m against July 2022’s figure of $72.7m.

Nevada’s record month comes ahead of the Formula One Grand Prix race in the US gambling hub， which will take place later this year – giving Las Vegas the potential to push revenue figures even higher for November (when the race takes place on Sunday 19).

Meanwhile，Casino games Washoe County recorded a 6% rise on the $94.8m it posted in July 2022， totalling $100.6m forJuly 2023.

Breaking down Washoe County， its largest rises came from Sparks， which saw a 20% increase in revenue – with its overall sum standing at $17.2m. North Lake Tahoe also saw a solid annual rise of 14%， totalling $3.2m against July 2022’s $2.8m.

Despite the increases seen in most places， South Lake Tahoe fell by 3% to $30.9m， while Elko County also fell by 3%， now recording a sum of $34.9m. Finally， the Carson Valley Area recorded the third 3% loss of Nevada’s report， with its revenue sitting at $11.4m for July 2023.
